Portfolio Strategy – Develop framework for real estate strategies and market plans specifically driving real estate optimization through cost effective, sustainable real estate solutions and workplace optimization with a forward-looking view of real estate decisions over a long-term horizon
Workplace Strategy Develop framework for optimizing the office space design to align with Manulife s goals and priorities, drive engagement and productivity
Provide oversight and strategic leadership in the management of Manulife s corporate real estate portfolio to ensure Portfolio Optimization and Expense Efficiency.
Work with CRE key stakeholders to develop and mobilize a roadmap and plan for Manulife s footprint that is aligned to workforce and business strategies globally.
Through CRE industry events, publications, reports and seminars, maintain up-to-date industry/market information on CRE best practices. Make recommendations on how these new CRE practices could apply to the Manulife CRE portfolio.
Provide strategic & financial analysis and thought leadership to inform Business Unit decision-making.
Accountable to Real Estate Leadership team for preparing business cases, and related documents; following internal approval and procurement practices
Accountable for driving/preparing analysis around the global portfolio that is relevant, timely and assists to drive decisions the strategic planning function and office design
Accountable as key point of contact for reporting on major capital projects, portfolio KPIs, etc ensuring reporting is accurate, timely and relevant
Program and project management or support for various corporate real estate/enterprise initiatives
Work in partnership with Regional Leadership (Workplace Solutions, Property Management, etc), and other functions as needed to deliver holistic CRE strategies and solutions; as well as collaborate on business cases, reporting, and gather information as needed. Will require interaction with CRE teams across different times zones.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1. Minimum 7+ years in real estate strategy, with progressing responsibility
2. Experience driving analytics around real estate portfolio and workplace strategy, presenting ideas to various audiences
3. Financial background, understanding of project financials, budgets, capitalization principles, etc.
4. Project management experience a must – self-starter who can take a project from inception through implementation; experience managing projects across different teams/business units/timezones
5. An understanding of the latest trends in workplace strategies and corporate real estate
6. Strong computer skills including ability to develop sophisticated spreadsheets which leverage data from multiple sources; ability to produce presentations and reports that are concise and can convey a story to various audiences
